The World is Awesome

 Every now and then a commercial comes along that you can't forget even if you tried.  Three commercials have done that for me and remain stuck in my memory.  The first one I remember was the Coca-Cola "I'd like to teach the world to sing" commercial.  The second was the iconic Apple computer commercial based on 1984.  In the mid-90's, Coca-Cola struck again with a radio spot that was requested almost as much as the popular songs of the day, but I'm not counting that one for this post.

While I have enjoyed some of the commercials that have graced the airwaves in the last few years, none has captured my imagination like the Discovery Channel's "Boom De Ah Dah".  Every time I hear the music, I have to stop whatever I am doing and go watch.  

The world really is an awesome place and even a commercial can remind you why.

This is currently my favorite commercial. The first time I saw it ...I cried a little. Because it rings true. I wish more people were moved by it.

I agree with you. So often we only think about the little things in our lives that affect us day to day - work, home, bills. We forget we're all trapped on this hurtling ball of rock together and it wouldn't hurt us to look up and see the beauty.
