T-Minus Nine Hours

the_goren_showand counting until I finally drag my ass into the new millenium and add high speed cable internet at home.
First things first, I have to get off work at 3 pm, run downtown, park, run to the postal depot, pick up the package with the high speed modem from my ISP and pray that all this can be done so I can be home before 4 pm, the earliest time in the window the local cable company has provided for my connection to be hooked up. Because you just know Murphy is lurking and waiting for a chance to trip me up, having missed me by this )( much a couple of times already in this endeavour. If anything delays me from being at home by 4 pm, they will show up at 4 pm on the dot. Should I manage to get home in time with the modem, the installer will arrive as late as possible and still be inside his window.
Here's hoping the next update will be from my newly installed cable internet on the new computer at home.
