I am now officially registered with NaNoWriMo.  I haven't decided if this is a step to regaining my sanity or the final proof of the complete and total loss of it.  If nothing else, it will give me something to do other than putz around on FB.  All there is to do now is wait until November 1 and then start typing.

Though I do have one thing to ask myself...

I'm so ready to start it's scary. I haven't been this excited for something in what feels like eons. The anticipation will probably kill me.

I've been waiting *months* to start.I've had ideas and plot and background info ready for a while. I think the closer it gets though to November 1, the worse I'll start to feel it and be all "Oh my gods, what was I thinking?!"

I'm not sure if this is cheating but I have the characters and the base idea of the plot ready because it's one of my RP chars. He's the one muse I just can't seem to get out of my head and telling his story seems like a good place to start.

Same here though. I'm writing about one of my RP character's background. Granted it's hella involved and all but that's fine by me. But I'm so willing to do this I've got more info on his people than I've ever had about anything.

I understand this because I know more about him than is probably healthy and it's all because of four words and a possibly imagined inflection in an overplayed pop song from six years ago.

Hell, I still play Keth and I'm surprised I've not decided to put her story out there. But hers is just... I don't know if I could do it justice?

This one, though, I've been aching to do. I think at this point it's more to discover more about the character. What's he like, what happened to him and so on.

And to learn more about his people and the times they lived in.
