And life goes on but it's getting harder and harder to breathe.

Work was work.  More plumbing emergencies, more emergency entries to suites, more yelling at the stressed guy behind the counter who is starting to think that going back to guarding gravel pits is an acceptable career option.

Max blew a headlight this morning in the -30 temperature.  I have already gone and bought the replacement but can't bring myself to try changing it.  Just thinking about attempting it sets my anxiety into overdrive as anything involved with the car seems to just right now.

I'm about ready to find a sanitarium and rent myself a room.

Is it possible that you could need a vacation?

It's more than possible - it's a certainty. What is also a certainty is that one of our full timers is currently off sick (Bony asshole for all the use he is) and the other is taking a whole month off in March. I will have to try and take two extra days so I can have a long weekend. I'm not sure that I will get the time though because my Deakins - the supervisor who would go to the wall for me - is no longer with the company.

It's a perfect storm for my stress issues to rear their ugly heads.

IMO, anyone who gets rid of good people in a company shows that they either A) are interested in profit not people or B) clueless to the truth of said company. But that's just my opinion.

And quite possibly complete bias as well.

I suppose you guys don't get paid stress/sick leave?

I agree with you on getting rid of the good people and will raise you C) is mostly interested in building their own little fiefdom and to hell with the rest.

On the paid sick/stress leave... stop making complete and total sense.

I'll call on the C) since it's probably closer to the truth than my two.

Sorry, I get random moments of sense that just overwhelm my normal nonsense.

You need both sense and nonsense to muddle through this world.
